6 March 2012 – Juba:   The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP) with support from the United Nations Development Programme will host a consultative meeting to validate the South Sudan Development Initiative (SSDI) on Thursday 7 March at New Sudan Hotel.  In collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), UNDP supported the design process of the SSDI, which is the action plan of the South Sudan Development Plan.

The workshop is intended to facilitate a consultation process with stakeholders, including Government, development partners, civil society organizations, the private sector and academia to voice their views on the proposed programmes and projects that have been included in this action plan.
