    Southern Sudan is celebrating the staging of a peaceful, transparent, successful referendum giving citizens the opportunity to choose unity or secession for Southern Sudan. The Referendum voting was held from 9 -15 January 2010, a final key milestone event of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) that began in January 2005.
